Event Details

First, thanks to YOU for checking this out, to Maurice LeCroyThe Human Community, the Plant Community: One Community, Present to Exquisite Relatedness, by 2021, for co-creating the event, and to the Australian sculptor, Bruno Torfs, for the image of his art. Springing from the heart of Susan Elizabeth Hale, EARTH DAY- SING FOR THE TREES is a global initiative to pause at Noon, April 22, and sing to the trees. Also at source: Earth Mother/Gaia/BlackMadonna, who finds humor in our naming of her, and who, in all seriousness, calls us to come together, in a moment of time, in acknowledgment and appreciation of plant life for so sustaining us. THIS WE CAN DO.

11:00 AM:
Sign In – Tea and Crumpets

11:45 AM:
Preparation and setting the tone with Tom Blue Wolf

NOON:
SING FOR the TREES facilitated by Tom Blue Wolf: The South East was the apothecary of Native America; The Muskogee Creek were the pharmacists. Part of their intimate knowing of plants was their songs. Taught by his grandfather, who knew hundreds of these songs, Tom will lead us ceremonially into the song of the Willow Tree. We will gather together to chant/sing/croon/tune ourselves to the vibrational level for communicating a resonate “tone” with the tree people. This “tone” will be consistent with the creation story of our mutual interdependence with the tree people. Bring a sacred object for the community altar.

AFTERNOON:
* Merrill, Mayan Time Keeper, identifier of community, will be showing us our place in the circle
* Cob oven-ing with local chefs: Bring roast-ables, bake-ables, dough and sauce and pizza makings.

* Recycling bizarre: Bring cherished objects to pass along.
* Hike: out of the backyard, along the creek, and into the forest. Get lost, but not for long.
* Music, song, and dance jams: Bring instruments and join in, or just savour.
